I am so glad you stopped by! My name is Jessica Skinner, and I am the owner of JBurgess Designs, LLC. You’re probably wondering, “If your name is Jessica Skinner, where in the world did JBurgess come from?” Thanks for asking! James Burgess was my papa’s name. Growing up, my brother and I would visit my grandparents in Pensacola, FL during the summer. We often watched my papa create magic from scraps of wood—transforming them into functional items such as dog houses, barns, fencing, the list goes on! When I was 20 years old, I married my childhood best friend, and we did not have a lot of money for furniture. Almost instinctively, I began to mimic my papa’s behavior. Over a decade later, I am continuing to embrace a love of woodwork, repurposing, and designs. Thus, my papa’s legacy lives on….
